It was great to get back to Snowdonia, and this time for me (having been there recently as support crew so other people could have their fun). An overcast Saturday gave me the chance to look around a couple of castles, then a stroll up a hill in the clear evening. Sunday was a lazy start to allow the clouds to lift, before heading along the Watkin Path to the top of Snowdon. Having become very familiar with the Pyg track and Miners track on previous visits, this was my first stint up the Watkin Path, and I was not disappointed! Good views from the top (although I have seen better). A fair bit of litter was collected on the way up and down. Crowded summit but quiet descent, with a dip in a cold pool near the end. Overall, a really good weekend!
