Course dates have been set for February and March. Anyone is welcome to attend, whether you have a race lined-up, in mind, or just want to come and play in the hills for a few days. Plenty of dates have been included so we can keep the groups small (or even 1-2-1), which is appropriate in these times of covid.
I will deliver presentations on the science of being active in the cold, race overviews and strategies, equipment, nutrition and so on. There will be skills training on liquid fuel stove use and maintenance, fire-starting, and sleeping out (not obligatory). A handful of event supporters are keen to offer discounts on select equipment for those still hunting for gear, or else you can improvise during the course and take a look at what's around before committing. This is an educational and skills-based course, so there is no need to be particularly fit - I can give recommendations on places to walk, hike, run or cycle in the time between presentations and workshops.
Further details about the course and to book can be found here.
